From Rome-Fiumicino to L'Aquila

Fiumicino → Roma Termini. From Fiumicino International Airport to Termini train station - in the city-center - take the shuttle train Leonardo Express from the Fiumicino railway station (tickets can be booked on-line).

Roma Termini → Roma Tiburtina. When at Termini you can use the subway Line B to the Tiburtina Station, direction Rebibbia (four stops).

Roma Tiburtina → L'Aquila. At the Tiburtina station, exit the railway station, go to Piazzale Tiburtina (2 min walk) where there you can find the bus station and hop on the ARPA bus leaving for L'Aquila and dropping you at the Terminalbus Collemaggio (here the ARPA Timetable).
From Rome-Ciampino to L'Aquila

Ciampino → Roma Termini. From Roma Ciampino International Airport to Roma Termini take the airpot shuttle bus.

From Pescara Airport: either rent a car and take the highway A-25, direction Rome or take the coach no. 38 departing every 15 minutes to the Pescara Railway Station (Single trip: € 1,00). When at Pescara Railway Station (exit the station) go to the ARPA bus station (2 min walk)
Arriving to L'Aquila and LNGS by car
From Rome by car (100 km): Take the Highway (Autostrada) A-24, direction L'Aquila-Teramo (exit no. 14 of Grande Raccordo Anulare). Exit Assergi (the next Exit after L'Aquila EST). Follow the directions for Gran Sasso National Laboratories.
