Poster and presentation information and author guidelines
Wine and Posters
There will be two wine & poster sessions of about 30 posters each, in the late afternoons of monday may 16th, and tuesday may 17th. The poster will be displayed in a dedicated lecture hall (Aula Majorana) at LNGS. Wine (a very good one!) will be served during the sessions. Please stay a bit sober!
Authors of Poster session 1 can display their poster at their venue on Sunday 15th, and are kindly requested to remove their posters at the end of the the Monday Poster session.
Authors of Poster session 2 are asked to display their poster in the morning of May 17th and are kindly requested to remove their posters before the closure of the workshop on wednesday 18th.
The speakers corner
Given the notable scientific quality of the posters, all the poster contributors will be given the chance to "talk about their poster" in an informal, unofficial, parallel, "jam-session" that will take place from 5 p.m. till 6.40 p.m. just before each poster session starts. Such "poster-oral-speakers" will be allowed 6 min presentation plus 4 min discussion, allowing overall for 14 speech slots before any poster session.
The Majorana hall hosts a computer and a projector, but the speaker and audience will stay standing (no chairs) just like at Hyde park speakers' corner. The session will have a moderator in charge to organize the program during the morning of the same day, and committed to keep the schedule tight. No chairmen in this case!
Poster format guidelines
Poster size should be equal or smaller than A0 size, 841 mm in width and 1189 mm in height. Fixing material will be provided. Each board will be labeled with the poster title and name(s) of the author(s).
Oral presentation guidelines
Talk slides should be prepared in PowerPoint .ppt format to ensure compatibility with the audio-visual equipment.
Presenters are kindly requested to verify the proper display of their presentations and the compatibility with the audio-video instrumentation in the conference room by presenting to the technician before the beginning of their session.
